Bio

With 20+ years’ experience, Luke has worked across many different areas of Lighting Design. Starting in theatrical and live lighting projects in Sydney, Australia as a Junior Designer, he then moved to Dubai in 2000 with Gearhouse Arabia. After joining Production Technology in 2005, he become a Senior Lighting Designer, working on fashion, dance and festival lighting, particularly interested in visualization, media-server control and console operation as project tools.

Changing direction, he moved into road, tunnel, sports and infrastructural projects with Ruud Lighting (CREE), before being offered the role of Special Projects Engineer at Oasis Professional Projects, working on themed architectural projects including Dubai Parks and Resorts’ MotionGate. He was also part of the design team that won an IESNA Award for the DreamWorks Animation Zone.

In 2017 he returned to Australia, to start Curiome P/L. He holds a Master of Lighting Degree from Queensland University of Technology (QUT) and is also an active member of The Light Society (IESANZ), at MIES (member level).
